I am an available-for-hire journalist and award-winning blogger with a decade of experience covering pro sports. I took an unconventional route to covering the NFL. After graduating from Penn State with a media studies degree, I had no idea what I wanted to do with that education. Out of necessity, I took a job processing credit reports for mortgage companies. It was pretty much like "Office Space," so I asked myself, 'What would you actually enjoy doing?' I decided I wanted to write about sports, went to grad school at Towson in Baltimore and was lucky enough to parlay an internship in the features department at the Baltimore Sun into a full-time writing position with the company, eventually spending three years on the Ravens beat. In 2014, I moved on to Minnesota, where I was the lead Vikings beat reporter until July of 2017. Why did I leave such a great gig? So my rapidly-expanding family could plant roots in New England. I'm now a free agent and I hope to resume my journalism career. If you're looking for an experienced reporter, writer and blogger, please shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
